The English Riviera Bid Company (ERBID Co) are delighted to introduce new free workshops for spring 2025, designed for English tourism and hospitality businesses.
‘Grow your Business’ is a new tourism support programme funded by Torbay Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), delivered by trusted specialists and in partnership with the ERBID Co. Designed from businesses’ feedback, this new initiative offers opportunities to gain knowledge, enhance skills, expand networks, to Grow your Business. There are 5 funded workshops to book onto.

- Local Partnerships & Collaborative Working ‘Hackathon’, 29 January, 4pm-6pm. The session will bring together all voices in the English Riviera tourism industry, big and small. The aim of the ‘Hack’ is to explore partnerships and collaborations within the group, allow you all to meet and find out more about each other, expand your networks and explore ways you can work together in a practical way.
- Understanding AI & How to Use it, 4 February, 1pm-4pm. Join us for our workshop on understanding AI & how to use it. The event is tailored for entrepreneurs and small businesses owners focused on helping you leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for growth and efficiency, covering practical applications and strategies to boost productivity and reduce costs.
- Business Planning, Future Survival & Tax and Finance, – 11 February, 1pm-4pm. Prepare your business for long-term success with an intensive 3-hour workshop designed exclusively for tourism and hospitality business owners and managers on business planning, future survival & tax and finance
- Digital Marketing including Social Media, 18 February 1pm-4pm. This workshop is great for entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to utilise the digital tools and platforms available to reach a wider audience and grow. It includes an introduction to digital marketing that will guide you through the digital journey and cover short topics including how to get started, social media, paid digital advertising, search engines and content.
- Sales & Pricing Structures, & Managing Operational Costs, 25 February 1pm-4pm. his event is tailored for entrepreneurs and small business owners, where you will have the opportunity to: learn techniques to boost revenue and sales, explore pricing strategies to maximise profitability, understand how to analyse and control operational costs and gain insights into cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.

Torbay Council’s Economy Team is working in partnership with ERBID to deliver a tourism support programme to help grow your business. The business support provided by Torbay Council is available free of charge to all Torbay residents from all backgrounds with the aim of harnessing local entrepreneurial talent. It is fully funded by HM Government and the Levelling Up Fund through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
